Having come a long way from his home, Martin has embarked on an adventure that has brought him to the role of Communications Officer at We Belong. Born in the U.S., he shares the common experience of many young Latin-Americans, known as 'dreamers,' who had to build their lives anew in Mexico.
Martin worked as a marketing and business advisor in the United States before he moved to the United Kingdom to complete a Master's degree in Global Governance and Diplomacy at the University of Leeds. His passion lies in human rights and has dedicated his early research career to Children's Rights to Education in the Middle East and Asia.
Now, as a Communications Officer at We Belong, he aspires to use his blend of experience to amplify the voice of fellow young migrants who need support and advocacy. In his free time, he enjoys watching anime, doing vinyasa-style yoga, and cooking different recipes for his family and friends.
